FAQs

BOOK YOUR INITIAL CONSULT

Do you accept insurance?

Consults are cash-pay; labs/meds can run through insurance. Superbills available.

Are you an urgent care or primary care office?

No. We’re a consultation practice focused on menopause and sexual medicine.

Why pay a membership fee when healthcare is covered by insurance?

Membership fees are an important part of our practice because addressing concerns around perimenopause, menopause, and sexual medicine concerns requires time, depth, and expertise. Unlike traditional models, this work isn’t quick or surface-level—it demands careful listening, thorough evaluation, continued research of preparation of plans from provider, and ongoing support. Membership allows your provider to dedicate the extra time and attention needed to get to know you as an individual and make a customized plan for you.

What’s included in membership?

Longer visits, messaging, medication and lab coordination, ongoing plan adjustments, and continuity of care.

We’re not an urgent care or general primary care office, and we don’t offer 24/7 access. Virago Health is a consultation practice focused on menopause and sexual medicine. We may recommend additional specialists to round out your care team.

  • "Working with Rachel was one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had with a medical professional. She listens and cares so profoundly, you can feel it when you are with her. She helped me gain confidence and strength while being in such a vulnerable place. I was able to speak freely about my body without any sense of judgment, the safest I’ve ever felt in a medical office. I quite simply can’t say enough good things about being under her care."
